Door County in the Fall

Door CountyLast weekend, my family and I traveled north to Door County, Wisconsin for a few days. I have wanted to get to Door County in the fall for some time and was excited that we finally had the opportunity to go.

I was not disappointed.

Here are some of my favorite pictures showing the amazing color and beauty of the area this time of the year. There are a lot, but I couldn’t narrow it down any more than this! I’d love to know which ones are your favorites!

It would be hard to choose just one. The beauty of God’s creation is in all of them. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Jennifer Johnson says:

So beautiful. God is truly a colorful creator!

    • Laury says:

He is! Every year I think about the fact that God could have just made all of the leaves turn brown in a day and fall off. But instead, it seems that He made a beautiful display for us to see, which serves no purpose other than to be a gift that He hands to us for our enjoyment. I love it!

All of the pictures are, as others have said, a great example of the beauty of God’s creation. I particularly like the pictures of the lake through the trees but all are wonderful. I appreciate that your Mom forwarded your blog site to me and I would enjoy seeing future posts.

Hello Leigh! (not sure how to address you these days) 🙂 What a nice surprise to hear from you! And I am honored that you subscribed to my blog! My mother had told me of your visit and that it was great to see you. A lot of life has been lived by all of us since I saw you and Gwen last, that’s for sure! The busyness of life sometimes keeps me from checking in on my blog as much as I would like–thus the delay in me seeing your comment and responding. One of my favorite things about the internet is being able to keep in touch or reunite with people from the past. Hope you are well! And please keep me/us posted on the book you are writing! I would love to see it!
