A True Farm Girl

I thought I would post some pictures from when I was a little girl. Lest anyone should doubt, I was a true farm girl, as you can see.  I just love these pictures. Thanks for taking them Mom! I think I remember the one on the swing being taken—I definitely remember that shirt. It was made of what I now know is seersucker material. So thankful for my life on the farm! What a great place to be a kid!

The top picture, you went into the chicken house & got the egg out of the nest & were bringing it into the yard when I saw you. It was not broken either. Of course you always liked the cats & we had lots of them.

I was braver then than I was in later years. I like how one chicken is sneaking around the background of that picture.

Hi Angie–Do you remember that swingset in our yard? After that was gone my Dad hung a rope swing from the tree. I think we all spent quite a bit of time there.

I look forward to checking in on your blog from time to time. Very cute pictures of you growing up! It definitely is a blessing growing up in a small country town. I appreciate it and miss it more and more each day/year.

Hi Brenda! Thanks for checking this out 🙂 So happy to hear from you. Isn’t it nice that we can still take our kids back to get a taste of country/small town living? It’s a true blessing to be able to pass that part of our lives on.
